PostHeaderIcon Three Tips to Make a More Personal Connection With Your Subscribers

Are you struggling to establish a natural personal connection with your mailing list subscribers? Do your subscribers really know you as a person or are you just another ‘name’ in cyberspace?

It is important that we take the steps to establish a personal connection with our subscribers because buyers like to invest you as a person, rather than your product. Here, David Walker gives three tips to build a relationship with your subscribers.

1) Get Off the Fence

It might sound obvious, but there is a lot to be said for just being yourself. Don’t be scared to express your own opinions. You might want to remain neutral so you don’t upset anyone, which is understandable.

But if you’re taking this route, then how will your true character come across and how will you stand out from the crowd?

Some of the most successful marketers out there who make money online are controversial, you will never be able to create even a low level of controversy if you avoid expressing an opinion.

2) Be Personal in Your E-mail Messages

You don’t always need to plan every e-mail to the exact letter. Just open your mind and write. Write about personal experiences and thoughts and fit them in around your marketing material.

An e-mail that doesn’t come across as ’scripted’ will always feel more personal and since adopting this policy myself, I have found I enjoy writing my marketing e-mails a lot more.

I found it easier to make this transition by sending out a thrice-weekly “newsletter” e-mail rather than just bare promotional messages. This enabled me to write personal and marketing messages in different sections of the newsletter.

This ensures there is room for me to write about whatever pops into my head to give a more personal touch amid the marketing stuff which actually pays the bills!

Your subscribers are probably smarter than you think, if your writing is straight from the heart, they will probably be able to feel that.

3) Get Your Subscribers to Provide Feedback and Ask Questions

Get your subscribers to feedback their thoughts on your e-mails. Allow them to ask questions if they want to.

Of course, you don’t have to respond to every question or feedback individually – you could create a blog post around the most common requests or respond to common feedback / important questions in your next e-mail broadcast.

If you receive high volumes of e-mail, you don’t even need to read every incoming message. Just reading a cross section will probably cover most questions which are generally repeated.

If you’re responding to common queries, not only are you helping your audience, providing value, you’re also showing them that you genuinely care.

After all, you’re under no obligation to provide answers to them for free.

PostHeaderIcon Affiliate Marketing-Keywords and Traffic

Everything you do in affiliate marketing will require keywords. You will need to choose the right keywords if you expect to get a decent amount of traffic.

I use the Google Keyword Tool for quick and free research:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

This keyword tool is extremely easy to use. You simply enter your seed keyword phrase and you will receive a large number of related keywords. You can sort them by the average number of monthly searches.

You want to look for keyword phrases that have:

At least 1,000 monthly searches
Fewer than 50,000 competing sites

Check competition, by entering each keyword phrase in quotes into Google. This will tell you how many people are targeting that exact phrase.

Now it’s time to target those keywords to get traffic.

PostHeaderIcon Affiliate Marketing-Choosing A Niche

Choosing Profitable Niches

The first thing you need to do is choose a niche to promote. Not just any niche, but a profitable niche. Not every niche is going to be as profitable as you might hope.

I have chosen niches in the past that I expected to be profitable, yet despite my best efforts I was unable to find a single affiliate product that would convert well enough to make the effort worth the time involved.

Just a few simple steps can help you eliminate some of the risk of choosing dud niches. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Make Money with Affiliate Marketing

One of the most popular ways to make money on line is affiliate marketing. It is a business model where merchants pay people for bringing in customers or visitors through their online efforts.

Here are three simple steps how affiliate marketing can help you pocket some profits:

Choose a good product to push

This is the most basic rule that you must follow. Affiliate marketing will be your cash cow if you have good products to promote. You need to research and be very sensitive to the needs of the market.

Competition in affiliate marketing, like in any other business, is very stiff. Remember though that competition is a good gauge how popular a product is and how the market reacts to it. It will be a very good opportunity to be the first, but going for what already sells also pays well. Read the rest of this entry »
